牛瘤胃液对2种菊科植物种子萌发的影响

Effects of Cattle Rumen Fluid on Seed Germination of Two Compositae Species

摘要: 为研究家畜采食对植物种子萌发的作用,采用牛瘤胃液及其1:1和1:10稀释液处理刺儿菜(Crisium setosum)和刺疙瘩(Olgaea tangutica)2种菊科植物的种子,比较不同处理对种子萌发率、加权萌发率、平均萌发时间和第一萌发时间的影响。结果表明:经牛瘤胃液处理后,刺儿菜和刺疙瘩种子萌发率显著降低。经牛瘤胃液原液处理后,刺儿菜种子萌发率由对照组中的88.8%减小至65.0%;刺疙瘩种子对牛瘤胃液更为敏感,在原液处理中其萌发率仅为12.7%,较对照组降低了66.6%,而且1:1和1:10的稀释牛瘤胃液也能显著降低其萌发率。此外,牛瘤胃液还推迟了刺疙瘩种子的萌发时间,但对具备萌发能力的刺儿菜种子萌发时间没有显著影响。

Abstract: In odor to define the influences of livestock ingestion on seed germination, a series of germination experiments were conducted. Seeds of two Compositae species (Crisium setosum and Olgaea tangutica) were treated by cattle rumen fluid with undiluted, 1-fold and 10-fold diluted solutions. Four indicators including germination percentage, weighted germination percentage, mean germination time and first germination time were compared. Results showed that germination percentage of both C. setosum and O. tangutica decreased significantly in the treatment of undiluted rumen fluid. The germination percentage of C. setosum decreased from 88.8% in the control treatment to 65.0% in the undiluted rumen fluid treatment. O. tangutica seeds were more sensitive to cattle rumen fluid and its germination percentage was lowest in the undiluted solution, bottoming at 12.7%, compared to 79.3% in the control treatment. In addition, cattle rumen fluid prolonged the germination time of O. tangutica as well. However, rumen fluid did not affect the germination time of C. setosum significantly.
