Regrowth Dynamics and Factors Affecting the Regrowth of Range Herbage in Stipa Brevifloria Desert Steppe

短花针茅荒漠草原主要牧草再生特性及其影响因素的研究

Abstract: The primary objective of this study was to investigate the regrowth dynamics of different plants in Stipa brevifloria steppe.Effects of different factors (stubble height, irrigation and fertilizer application) on plant regrowth behavior were aslo discussed.Results showed that the regrowth dynamics of the plants were mainly determined by the biological characteristics of the plants.The regrowth rate was closely correlated to annual precipitation and annual average temperature.Regrowth rate was positively related to plant stubble height (within a range from 0 cm to 3cm), However, total herbage yields declined with the increaces in stubble height, resulting in herbage material loss due to incomplete utilization.Irrigation and fertilizer application had positive effects on plants regrowth.Clipping treatments resulted in a sharp decline in plant water soluble carbohydrate reserves.

摘要: 本试验对短花针茅荒漠草原建群种、优势种、次优势种和主要伴生种的再生性及其影响因素进行研究探讨。结果表明该草地供试草种的再生能力不同,再生性及其强弱主要取决于草种的生物学特性和再生期间的环境条件以及留茬高度、灌水和施肥等栽培措施。年内连续多次刈割,使牧草贮藏养分(主要是可溶性碳水化合物)含量下降,到初霜后降至最低点。
