Effects of Intercropping White Clover on Soil Aggregates and Soil Organic Carbon of Aggregates in Apple-White Clover Intercropping System

间作白三叶对苹果/白三叶复合系统土壤团聚体及团聚体碳含量的影响

Abstract: Basing on the stationary field experiment of seven years (2005-2011) conducted in the Weibei Loess Plateau, the mechanical stable aggregates, water-stable aggregates, aggregate stability and the organic carbon content of water-stable aggregates in apple orchards intercropping white clover were investigated. Results showed that the mean weight diameter (MWD) was increased and the percentage of aggregate destruction (PAD) was decreased by intercropping white clover compared with clear tillage apple orchard. The amount of >0.25 mm water-stable aggregates and the aggregate stability were significantly increased at 0~20 cm soil layer in apple-white clover system compared with clear tillage apple orchard, whereas there was no obvious difference for the amount of >0.25 mm mechanical aggregate size fraction between clear tillage and intercropping white clover in apple orchard. The organic carbon contents of water-stable aggregates were significantly increased at the 0~20 cm soil layer in apple-white clover intercropping system, and the increase of organic carbon content in different water-stable aggregate size classes was significantly different in apple-white clover intercropping system. Among all water-stable aggregate size classes in apple-white clover intercropping system, the largest increase of organic carbon content was in 0.5~0.25 mm water-stable aggregates, whereas the smallest increase of organic carbon content was in 1~0.5 mm water-stable aggregates compared with clear tillage apple orchard. Conclusions were that the amount of water-stable aggregates, the aggregate stability, and the organic carbon content of water-stable aggregates were significantly increased at 0~20 cm soil layer in apple-white clover intercropping system compared with in clear tillage apple orchard, and the influence of intercropping white clover on the amount of water-stable aggregates and the organic carbon content of water-stable aggregates remarkably varied in the different water-stable aggregate size classes of apple-white clover intercropping system.

摘要: 设置苹果(Malus domestica Borkh.)园清耕与间作白三叶(Trifolium repens L.)2个处理,分析其对果园土壤机械稳定性团聚体和水稳性团聚体及团聚体稳定性、水稳性团聚体有机碳含量的影响。结果表明:间作白三叶增加了果园土壤水稳性团聚体平均重量直径(MWD),降低了团聚体破坏率(PAD),显著提高了0~20 cm土层>0.25 mm水稳性团聚体的含量及其稳定性(P<0.05),但未对果园土壤中>0.25 mm粒级机械稳定性团聚体含量产生明显影响;间作白三叶改变了果园土壤团聚体有机碳含量与分布,显著增加了0~20 cm土层>0.25 mm水稳性团聚体有机碳含量(P<0.05),其中0.5~0.25 mm粒级水稳性团聚体有机碳含量增幅最大,1~0.5 mm粒级增加幅度较小。间作白三叶可显著提高果园0~20 cm土层水稳性团聚体含量及其稳定性、团聚体有机碳含量(P<0.05),且对不同粒级水稳性团聚体及团聚体碳含量的影响表现出明显差异。
