Comparison of Feeding Quality and Production Performance of Different Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L) Varieties in the Arid Zone of Eastern Qinghai Province

青海东部干旱区不同紫花苜蓿品种饲用品质和生产性能比较

Abstract: In order to select suitable alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.) for planting in the eastern arid zone of Qinghai Province and to promote the development of local animal husbandry,this study compared and analyzed the fertility period,production performance and nutritional quality of 29 alfalfa varieties,and evaluated the indexes of the participating varieties using the gray correlation analysis. The results showed that the participating alfalfa varieties completed the whole fertility period in the arid zone of eastern Qinghai Province,ranging from 172~174 d with small differences. The height of 'Xibei' was over 1.00 m,significantly higher than other varieties (P<0.05);'Canon' had the highest number of branches,over 15 branches;'Rock' had the highest crude protein content,up to 21.71%;Neutral acid detergent fiber content of 'MT4015' were lower;'MT4015' and 'Granite' had higher relative feeding values,which were significantly higher than other varieties (P<0.05). Using the gray correlation scale to rank the integrated feeding value and production performance,it found that 'Granite' 'Daye No.3' and '218TR',taking into account both yield and quality,ranked at the top list,and were suitable for planting in this region.

摘要: 为筛选出适宜青海省东部干旱区种植的紫花苜蓿(Medicago sativa L.),促进当地畜牧业发展,本研究对29个紫花苜蓿品种生育期、生产性能和营养品质进行对比分析,并采用灰色关联度分析法对参试品种的各项指标综合评价。结果表明:参试紫花苜蓿均可在青海省东部干旱区完成整个生育期,生育期介于172~174 d间,差异较小。29个紫花苜蓿中‘大业3号’鲜干草产量均为最高;‘西贝’株高超1.00 m,显著高于其它品种(P<0.05);‘佳能’分枝数最多超过15个;‘磐石’粗蛋白含量最高,达21.71%DM;‘MT4015’中酸性洗涤纤维含量均较低;‘MT4015’和‘磐石’相对饲喂为价值较高,显著高于其他品种(P<0.05)。利用灰色关联度综合饲用价值和生产性能进行排序,发现‘磐石’‘大业3号’‘218TR’位居前列,兼顾产量和品质,适宜在该地推广种植。
