Effects of Shade on Phenotypes and Shade Tolerance Evaluation of Five Ornamental Grasses

遮荫对5种观赏草表型的影响及耐荫性评价

Abstract: In order to screen out ornamental grass species tolerant to different shade conditions,the Panicum virgatum 'Lanji',Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Wucai',Carex forficula,Muhlenbergia capillaris 'Fendai',Schizachyrium scoparium 'Yingshuanghong' were used as the test material in this study. The phenotypic indexes of five species were measured under different shade treatments (0%,50%,75%,90%),and the shade tolerance of those five ornamental grasses were comprehensively evaluated and screened by membership function method and gray correlation method. The results showed that by the late shading stage,there were significant differences in plant height,crown width and stem diameter of ornamental grasses. Shading reduced the number of tillers,lengthened and thinned leaves,decreased the number of leaves and inflorescences,and delayed flowering of the five ornamental grasses,while leaf width and inflorescence length were inconsistent in different plants. It can be concluded that P. virgatum 'Lanji',P. alopecuroides 'Wucai' and C. forficula could tolerate 50% of the shade environment,M. capillaris 'Fendai' and S. scoparium 'Yingshuanghong' grow best in 0% shade. Seven indexes,such as above-ground biomass (in dry weight),number of inflorescences,and number of tillers,can be used as evaluation indicators for selection of the better shade tolerant performance of ornamental species in the future.

摘要: 为筛选出不同耐荫条件下的观赏草草种,本研究选择'蓝姬'柳枝稷(Panicum virgatum 'Lanji')、'五彩'狼尾草(Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Wucai')、溪水苔草(Carex forficula)、'粉黛'毛芒乱子草(Muhlenbergia capillaris 'Fendai')、'映霜红'帚状须芒草(Schizachyrium scoparium 'Yingshuanghong')为试验材料,通过不同遮荫处理(0%,50%,75%,90%),对其表型指标进行测定,并利用隶属函数法和灰色关联度法对其进行综合评价和指标筛选。结果表明:到遮荫后期,观赏草的株高、冠幅和茎粗变化有显著差异;遮荫会使5种观赏草分蘖数减少、叶片变长、变薄、叶片和花序数量变少、花期延迟,而叶宽和花序长度在不同植物中表现不一致;'蓝姬'柳枝稷、'五彩'狼尾草和溪水苔草能忍受50%的遮荫环境,'粉黛'毛芒乱子草和'映霜红'帚状须芒草在全光照中长势最好;地上干重、花序数量、分蘖数等7个指标可以作为后续耐荫性较好的评价指标。
