Regrowth Performance after Cutting and Physiological Mechanisms among Different Alfalfa Cultivars

不同品种紫花苜蓿刈割再生性能差异及生理机制解析

Abstract: Aiming at the problems of a single evaluation system for the regeneration ability of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) under high-frequency cutting and unclear mechanisms of varietal differentiation, this study took 9 alfalfa varieties as materials, determined the plant height, growth curve, biomass, photosynthetic parameters, and non-structural carbohydrate content after cutting, and conducted a comprehensive evaluation using the membership function method. The results indicated significant differences in regrowth performance among the various cultivars. Among them, ‘WL363HQ’ exhibited outstanding performance, with a mean daily plant height increase of 1.93 cm, which was significantly higher than that of the other tested cultivars. In contrast, the ‘Beiji Star’ cultivar demonstrated the weakest overall performance. Through systematic evaluation of the regrowth capacity differences among the alfalfa cultivars, this study confirmed that under high-frequency cutting conditions, ‘WL363HQ’ possessed the strongest regrowth ability among the nine tested cultivars, while ‘Beiji Star’ showed the weakest regrowth capacity. These findings provide a theoretical basis for the selection and breeding of alfalfa cultivars with enhanced tolerance to frequent cutting.

摘要: 针对高频刈割下紫花苜蓿(Medicago sativa L.)再生能力评价体系单一、品种分化机制不清的问题,本研究以9个紫花苜蓿品种为材料,测定刈割后株高、生长曲线、生物量、光合参数及非结构性碳水化合物含量,采用隶属函数法进行综合评价。结果显示:不同品种间再生性能存在显著差异。其中,‘WL363HQ’品种表现优异,其日均株高增长率达1.93 cm·d-1,显著高于其他参试品种;而‘北极星’品种综合表现最弱。本研究通过系统评价不同紫花苜蓿品种的再生能力差异,明确在高频刈割条件下,‘WL363HQ’为9个参试品种中再生能力最强的品种,‘北极星’则为再生能力最弱的品种。该研究结果为紫花苜蓿耐刈割品种选育提供了理论依据。
