Abstract: A study of the varieties comparative test among forage cross-sugarcane Minmu 42, Pennisetum purpureum, and sugarcane variety Mintong 86-05, was conducted within two years, on two soil types. The following conclusions are reached. The grass yield of forage cross-sugarcane Minmu 42 and P. purpureum are similar. A quality analysis confirms that Minmu 42 and Mintong 86-05 are higher than P. purpureum in palatability, nutritive value and forage value from winter to next spring. The two varieties’ balanced value of grass yield and of nutriments show no fluctuation through the four seasons of the year. It shows forage cross-sugarcane Minmu 42 can be used in four seasons of the year. All tests prove that forage cross-sugarcane Minmu 42 is a quality subtropical grass forage, available and usable all year round.

摘要： 以牧草蔗闽牧42[(S.officinaruml cv.Co419)×(S.robustum Brand Et Jeswiet BC₁PT43-52)cv.Minmu No.42]、象草(Pennisetum purpureum)和糖用甘蔗闽糖86-05(Sugarcanevariety cv.Mintong86-05)为研究材料,在两种土壤类型进行两年品比试验。结果表明:牧草蔗闽牧42与象草产草量之间无显著差异;品质分析结果表明,牧草蔗和糖用甘蔗闽糖86-05饲用价值在冬、春两季高于象草,一年四季产草量均衡价与营养均衡价表现较均衡,波动较小,说明牧草蔗闽牧42一年四季均可利用,是一种优质亚热带禾本科牧草。
