Abstract: Ecological restoration is the primary mission and basic requirement of the construction of ecological civilization,it is also an important way to build a beautiful China. Being the largest terrestrial ecosystem,grassland ecosystem has many important ecological functions,the condition of prairie ecosystem directly affects the national ecological security system. To date,our grassland ecosystem is partially taking a turn for the better and worsening as a whole,we have not yet fundamentally reversed the trend. Developing the effective strategies for grassland restoration will be an arduous but important task. We should fully understand the importance of grassland restoration,figure out the main task and consolidate foundation of it. We have to raise the public awareness of ecological conservation of grassland,make relevant,targeted and scientific plans,improve the protecting policy and monitoring methods for grassland ecological restoration.
