车前种子黏液对其劣变和萌发抗逆性的影响

Effect of Mucilage of Plantago asiatica Seeds on Its Deterioration and Germination Resistance

摘要: 本研究以保留黏液和去除黏液的车前(Plantago asiatica)种子为试验材料,分别对其进行人工老化处理和模拟的干旱、盐胁迫处理,然后在最适萌发温度下进行萌发测试,旨在从种子生活力保持和萌发抗逆性角度阐释种子黏液对萌发成苗的影响。结果表明:在老化过程中,保留黏液种子比去除黏液种子提前4 d发生萌发率的显著下降;与去除黏液种子相比,保留黏液种子萌发对水势的下降更为敏感,但其萌发率随水势下降的速率却相对缓慢;两种种子萌发在耐盐胁迫方面差异不大,仅在中等浓度盐溶液(75 mmol·L-1 NaCl)培养下,保留黏液种子的萌发速率显著高于去除黏液种子。总之,车前种子黏液物质的存在,一方面不利于种子生活力的保持,加速其老化,另一方面,在一定程度上提高了种子萌发对轻微干旱胁迫和盐胁迫的抗性。

Abstract: In this study,Plantago asiatica seeds with reserved mucilage and removed mucilage were treated with an artificial accelerated aging and a simulated drought and salt stress treatment respectively, and then conducted a germination test at the optimum germination temperature in order to explore the effect of seed mucilage on viability retention and germination resistance. The results showed that the germination of reserved mucous seeds occurred a significant decrease 4 d earlier than that of mucus removal seed during aging. The germination of reserved mucilage seeds was more sensitive to the decrease of water potential,but the decrease of germination speed with the decrease of water potential was relatively slower. Germination of two seeds varied slightly under salt stress,and the germination speed of reserved mucilage seeds was significantly higher than removed mucilage seeds only when they were incubated with the medium concentration of salt solution incubation (75 mmol·L-1 NaCl). In brief,P. asiatica seed mucilage,on the one hand,was unfavorable to the maintenance of seed viability and accelerated seeds aging,while on the other hand,it improved the seed germination resistance to mild drought and salt stress to a certain extent.
