Optimization of the Accelerated Ageing Condition for Kentucky Bluegrass Seeds

草地早熟禾种子加速老化方法研究

Abstract: In order to find out the suitable condition and procedure for the accelerated aging test of Kentucky bluegrass(Poa pratensis L.) seeds,the effect of aging temperature(38,40,42,44,and 46℃)and aging time(24,36,48,60,72,84,and 96 h)were analyzed on the germination percentage of seed samples of Kentucky bluegrass cultivars including HuiHuang,LanYue and Common.The results show the germination rate decreased significantly(P<0.05) with the aging temperature increased from 38℃ to 46℃,especially at the temperature 44℃ and 46℃.The seed germination percentage of HuiHuang decreased from 71% to 4%,and Common decreased from 95% to 36% during the aging at the temperature from 38℃ to 46℃.The seed germination percentage decreased significantly(P<0.05) with the treatments of the aging time from 60h to 96h.The interaction between the aging temperature and time was related to the germination capacity of Kentucky bluegrass.Aging temperature was the key factor for promoting the seed aging,but the effect of aging time on Kentucky bluegrass seed was depended on the aging temperature and the standard germination rate.It’s indicated that aging temperature 44℃ and aging time 60h were the optimum condition for accelerated aging test of Kentucky bluegrass seed.

摘要: 以辉煌、兰月、普通3个草地早熟禾(Poa pratensis L.)品种种子为材料,研究比较老化温度(38、40、42、44和46℃)和时间(24、36、48、60、72、84和96 h)处理对种子发芽率的影响,筛选确定草地早熟禾种子进行人工加速老化测定的适宜条件,并建立标准化的测定程序。结果表明:随着老化温度的升高,草地早熟禾种子发芽率明显下降(P<0.05),44℃和46℃老化处理效果明显,辉煌种子发芽率由71%降至4%,而普通种子发芽率由95%降至36%;在老化时间处理中,老化60 h至96 h可以使种子发芽率显著下降(P<0.05);老化温度与时间的互作效应与种子标准发芽率高低有关,老化温度是促进种子老化的关键因素,老化时间的作用效果受老化温度和种子标准发芽率的影响;草地早熟禾种子加速老化处理的适宜条件是44℃老化60 h。
