Effect of Different Substrate Thickness on Growth and Sod Quality of Carex leucochlora

基质厚度对青绿苔草生长和草皮质量的影响

Abstract: The effects of five peat soil thicknesses (1 cm,2 cm,3 cm,6 cm,10 cm) on the growth and sod quality of Carex leucochlora were studied by pot planting. The results showed that the thickness of the substrate significantly affected the biomass,roots,sod appearance quality and weight of Carex leucochlora. When the substrate thickness increased from 1 cm to 10 cm,the dry weight and root-to-shoot ratio,the total root length,surface area,and volume of the root system were significantly increased. But the average root diameter was significantly reduced. The height,density,uniformity,coverage,and color of the turf all showed an increasing trend,but the difference of each index was not significant when the substrate thickness was higher than 3 cm. It is feasible to produce soilless sod of Carex Leucochlora with peat soil as the substrate. Comprehensive consideration of various indicators,the appropriate substrate thickness is about 3 cm.

摘要: 为探讨青绿苔草(Carex leucochlora)草皮生产的适宜基质厚度,本研究以草炭土为基质采用盆栽试验分析了5种基质厚度(1 cm,2 cm,3 cm,6 cm,10 cm)对青绿苔草生长和草皮外观质量的影响。结果表明:基质厚度显著影响青绿苔草生物量、根系、草皮外观质量和重量,基质厚度从1 cm增加到10 cm,其干重、草皮重量、根冠、根系总根长、表面积、体积均显著增加(P<0.05),而根系平均直径显著降低(P<0.05);草皮高度、密度、均一性、盖度、色泽均呈增加的趋势,但基质厚度高于3 cm时,各指标差异不显著。综上所述,以草炭土为基质生产青绿苔草无土草皮是可行的,综合考虑各指标,适宜基质厚度以3 cm左右为宜。
