Comprehensive Evaluation of Salt Tolerance of 8 Amaranthus hybridus Resources at the Germination Stage

8份绿穗苋种子萌发期耐盐碱性综合评价

Abstract: Amaranthus hybridus is a new type of forage grass with high quality, which has a great difference in salt-alkali tolerance among different varieties. To select the germplasm resources and breeding materials with high saline-alkali tolerance, seeds of 8 A. hybridus genotypes were germinated in a sterilized NaHCO3 solution (100 mmol·L-1, pH=8.35). In this study, the seed germination traits including germination potential, germination rate, germination index, root length and bud length were investigated. The results showed that the response of 8 A. hybridus to saline-alkali stress was different, and compared with the control group, saline-alkali stress inhibited the seed germination and seeding growth of all A. hybridus genotypes. The membership function was used to synthetically assess the salt tolerance of 8 A. hybridus in germination stage. The results indicated that the 8 resources can be arranged as follows in the decreasing order of salt tolerance:Ahb1 > Ahb911 > Ahb2 > Ahb984 > Ahb979 > Ahb1025 > Ahb986 > Ahb1011.

摘要: 绿穗苋(Amaranthus hybridus)是一种新型的优质牧草,不同品种的绿穗苋耐盐碱性差异较大。为了筛选耐盐碱性强的优良种质资源和育种材料,本研究选用8份不同基因型的绿穗苋种子为试验材料,采用培养皿滤纸发芽法测定分析了盐碱(100 mmol·L-1NaHCO3溶液,pH 8.35)胁迫对种子发芽势、发芽率、发芽指数、根长和芽长等性状的影响。结果表明,参试的8份绿穗苋种子在NaHCO3胁迫下发芽指数和活力指数均受到一定的抑制,且不同材料对NaHCO3胁迫的响应具有明显差异。通过模糊隶属函数对8份绿穗苋种子萌发期耐盐碱性进行综合性评价,结果表明,不同基因型的绿穗苋种子的耐盐碱性由强到弱顺序为:Ahb1 > Ahb911 > Ahb2 > Ahb984 > Ahb979 > Ahb1025 > Ahb986 > Ahb1011。
