Effects of the Enclosure on Plant Communities in Temperate Grassland

温带草原围封对植物群落的影响

Abstract: Changes in species diversity and above-ground biomass after enclosure on the degraded grasslands are of importance to the grassland ecosystem restoration. In this study,we investigated the effects of different years of enclosure (10,17,26 and 39 years) on plant community structure,species diversity and aboveground biomass,and the relationship among them in a typical temperate grassland. The results showed that the above-ground biomass of the plant community tended to increase and then decrease with increasing years of enclosure. The community structure changed from perennial forb (such as:Carex korshinskyi),annual and biennial herbs (such as:Artemisia scoparia Waldst. et Kit.) to perennial grasses (such as:Leymus chinensis and Stipa grandis). Over that enclosure year,the plant community structure succession gradually tilted toward miscellaneous species. Therefore,the enclosure management should take into account the local climate,precipitation and other factors for making scientific decisions on the enclosure years to achieve the optimal effect on the ecological restoration of grassland.

摘要: 物种多样性和地上生物量的变化是退化草地围封后需要关注和研究的重要问题。本研究以锡林浩特典型草原为研究对象,探究不同围封年限(10年、17年、26年、39年)对植物群落结构、物种多样性和地上生物量以及两者之间关系的影响。结果表明:随围封年限增加,植物群落地上生物量呈先增加后降低的趋势;围封后,草原植被群落由以杂类草黄囊苔草(Carex korshinskyi)和一二年生草本植物为主向以多年生禾草(羊草(Leymus chinensis)、大针茅(Stipagrandis))为优势种群落转变,但随着围封年限的增加,植物群落的演替方向又逐渐向杂类草方向倾斜;草原围封显著提升了植物群落盖度、高度和地上生物量,植物多样性呈先下降后上升趋势,且各α多样性指数与地上生物量呈显著负相关。本研究证明进行草原围封管理应结合当地气候、降水等因素,科学决策围封年限才能达到最好的生态恢复效果。
