Effects of the Thickness of Biogas Residue Substrate on the Formation and Transplanting Effect of Tall Tescue Sod

沼渣基质厚度对高羊茅草皮成坪及移栽效果的影响

Abstract: Biogas residue, a solid byproducts generated after anaerobic fermentation in biogas engineering, is commonly utilized through matrification. In this study, the biogas residue derived from corn straw anaerobic fermentation, was used as substrate for the cultivation of tall fescue sod. Under thickness conditions of 1.5 cm, 3.0 cm, 4.5 cm, 6.0 cm, and 7.5 cm, the plant growth performance, turf use characteristics, curling difficulty, root system parameters and different antioxidant enzyme activities of transplanted plants of tall fescue were measured. The results showed that the thickness of the substrate had significant effects on the growth and development, and formation of tall fescue sod. Specifically, the growth rate and regeneration rate of tall fescue at thicknesses of 3.0 cm and 4.5 cm were significantly higher than those of other treatments (P<0.05). The texture, density, coverage, and other lawn characteristics with these two substrate thicknesses were significantly better than those of other treatments, and facliatated easier sod rolling up. Notably, the highest transplant survival rate of 77.5% was reached with a substrate thickness of 3.0 cm. Scanning results from Win Rhizo root system showed that the root length, root surface area, and root volume of grass transplanted with 3.0 cm and 4.5 cm thickness were superior to other treatments within the diameter range of 0-5.0 mm. A higher total length of root system under two different thicknesses was beneficial for grass planting. Based on comprehensive analysis, the 3.0-4.5 cm thickness of biogas residue substrate was suitable for tall fescue sod cultivation and transplantion.

摘要: 沼渣是沼气工程中厌氧发酵后产生的固体残渣,基质化是沼渣常见的利用方式。本研究将玉米(Zea mays L.)秸秆为发酵原料的沼渣用作高羊茅(Festuca arundinacea)草皮栽培基质,分别在不同基质厚度(1.5 cm,3.0 cm,4.5 cm,6.0 cm,7.5 cm)下,对比高羊茅成坪相关的植株表现、坪用性状、起卷难度和移栽后植株根系及抗氧化系统的反应。结果表明:基质厚度对高羊茅生长发育、成坪效果等具有显著影响,3.0 cm和4.5 cm厚度沼渣栽培下的高羊茅生长速度和再生速度均显著高于其他厚度处理(P<0.05),且草皮的质地、密度、盖度等坪用性状均明显优于其他处理,易成坪起卷,3.0 cm厚度的草皮卷移栽成活率高达77.5%。Win Rhizo根系系统扫描结果显示,在0~5.0 mm径级范围内,以3.0 cm和4.5 cm厚度草皮移栽后的根长、根表面积和根体积均优于其他处理,且有较高的根系总长度,利于草皮定植。综上,高羊茅草皮成坪和移栽的适宜沼渣基质厚度为3.0~4.5 cm。
