Effect of Grazing Intensities on Vegetation and Soil in Meadow Steppe

放牧对草甸草原植被和土壤的影响

Abstract: A series of comparative sampling plots were applied to study effects of selected grazing intensities on the meadow steppe.Results show that long-term heavy grazing reduce grass biomass and fallen leaf cover.Both soil organic matter(SOM) and total nitrogen(TN) was significantly lower(P<0.05).Soil bulk density and soil sand particles increased while soil respiration decreased in heavy grazing areas.There are significant correlations between grassland vegetation and soil with different indexes.Factor analysis reduces these indicators to four main factors and classifies different grazing gradients.These results have significantly important application values for reasonable utilization and protection of grasslands.

摘要: 应用典型样地法研究了放牧对草甸草原的影响,结果表明:长期重度放牧会导致草地现存量和枯枝凋落物减少,土壤有机质、全氮含量显著降低(P<0.05),土壤容重增大、土壤砂粒增加、土壤呼吸降低。草地植被、土壤各指标间存在显著的相关性,因子分析能够很好地将这些指标缩减为4个主因子,并能够将不同放牧梯度划分开,这对于草地合理利用及保护具有重要的应用价值。
