Abstract: In order to explore a new way of utilization of daylily stem and leaf feed resource. In this experiment, daylily by-products were mixed with silage corn according to the mass ratios of 100∶0 (T1), 80∶20 (T2), 60∶40 (T3), 40∶60 (T4), 20∶80 (T5) and 0∶100 (T6) for 70 days of fermentation, sensory identification, nutrient composition analysis, quality evaluation and microbial diversity analysis were carried out on different proportions of mixed forage. The results showed that compared to daylily stem and leaf single silage, the mixed silage of daylily stem and leaf and silage corn was beneficial to improve the smell and structure of silage. Based on the grey correlation analysis of 16 silage indicators, it was found that the quality of mixed silage of daylily stem and leaf and silage corn was better than that of daylily stem and leaf silage. At the bacterial genus level, a total of 1192 groups were classified, among which Lactiplantibacillus, Pantoea and unclassified Enterobacter (unclassified_Enterobacteriacea) were the dominant genera in all the mixed silage patterns. Combined to the results of RDA analysis, it was found that Ammonium nitrogen content (ANC) had a more significant effect on the microbial community composition of each sample. To sum up, from the angle of maximizing utilization of stems and leaves of daylily, T4 proportion silage is the best.
