Cold Resistance Characteristics of 22 Alpine Plant Species in the Eastern-part of Qilian Mountain

东祁连山高寒草甸植物抗寒性研究

Abstract: The variation of leaf plasma membrane permeability and malondialdehyde(MDA) of 22 alpine plant species,including 8 herbage species,12 shrub species,1 fern species and 1 bryophyte,collected from Tianzhu alpine meadows(altitude ranges from 3000 to 3400 m) located in eastern-part of the Qilian Mountains,were tested under a 30 min cold stress at-20℃.The results show that the increment sequence of plasma membrane permeability of different plant-groups varied as follows: fern>herbages>shrubs>bryophyte.The plasma membrane permeability of the 8 herbage species raised significantly(P<0.05 or P<0.01) compared to their controls.Among them the plasma membrane permeability increments in kobresia bellardii(All.) Degl.,Iris lactea Pall.var.chinensis and Achnatherum inebrians(Hance) Keng was much lower than that of the other broadleaves weeds and poisonous species.The membrane permeability increments of 12 shrub species were also significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01) and varied from 24% to 241.9%.!After suffering from the cold stress,the plasma membrane permeability of Equisetum arvense L.was lifted as high as 518.2% compared to its control,while the increase was not significant(only 6.7%) in Aulacomnium glaucuta.The MDA contents of 8 herbage species were increased significantly(P<0.05 or P<0.01) after the cold stress.The MDA contents of K.bellardii,A.inebrians and I.lactea var.chinensis were much lower than those of the other broadleaves weeds and poisonous grasses.Among the 12 shrub species,the contents of MDA were all species increased significantly(P<0.05 or P<0.01) compared to their control ones except Caragana jubata(Pall.) Poir.,Rhododendron thymifolium Maxim.,and R.Przewalskii Maxim.The MDA in the Equisetum arvense L.raised 210.7% after the cold stress,while A.glaucuta MDA decreased to only 68.2% of the control.Under cold stress,the MDA increments were highest for fern,lowest for bryophyte,and medium for shrubs and herbages.The order of the cold resistance in the 22 species plants was as follows: bryophyte>shrubs>herbages>fern.

摘要: 以高寒草甸22种植物叶片为材料,研究草本、灌木、蕨类和苔藓植物在低温胁迫下叶片膜透性和丙二醛(MDA)的含量及变化。结果显示:受低温胁迫后,叶片膜透性变化特征为蕨类植物>草本植物>灌木>苔藓,其中8种草本植物膜透性较对照的增加幅度均达显著(P<0.05)或极显著(P<0.01)水平;嵩草(Kobresia bellardii)、马蔺(Iris lactea Pall.var.chinensis)和醉马草(Achnatherum inebrians)增幅明显低于阔叶型杂草和毒草;12种灌木膜透性的增幅达显著(P<0.05)或极显著(P<0.01)水平,增幅24.0%~241.9%;蕨类植物问荆(E.arvense)膜透性较对照升高达518.2%;苔藓(Aulacomnium glaucuta)增加不显著,仅高于对照6.7%;8种草本植物MDA含量大幅度上升(P<0.05或P<0.01),其中嵩草、醉马草和马蔺MDA增幅明显低于阔叶毒杂草;12种灌木MDA含量,除鬼箭锦鸡儿(Caragana jubata)、百里香杜鹃(Rhododendron thymifolium)(P<0.05)和青海杜鹃(R.Prze-walskii)(P<0.01)较对照降低外,其余增加显著(P<0.05或P<0.01);问荆MDA变化幅度最高,达210.7%;苔藓含量降低,仅为对照的68.2%;蕨类植物MDA增幅大于草本植物和灌木,以苔藓最小;22种供试材料的抗寒性顺序为苔藓>灌木>草本植物>蕨类植物。
