Effects of Different Restoration Measures on Degraded Alpine Grasslands of the Tibetan Plateau: A meta-analysis

摘要: 为定量评估不同退化程度高寒草地的植物生产力、植物多样性与土壤质量对不同恢复措施的综合响应,本研究基于92篇文献,通过荟萃分析(Meta分析),对2 478组恢复实验数据进行综合分析。结果表明:在未退化草地上,自然恢复显著提高植被生产力和植物多样性,且不会使土壤质量下降;在轻度退化草地上,自然和人工辅助恢复均显著提高植被生产力和土壤质量;但人工辅助恢复显著降低植物多样性,而自然恢复则相反。具体措施以中期围栏封育恢复效果最好;在中度退化草地上,人工辅助恢复比自然恢复效果好。具体措施以短期施肥以及短期和中期补播恢复效果较好;在重度退化草地上,人工建植效果最好,但人工建植恢复植物多样性以及土壤质量所需年限较长。

Abstract: To quantitatively evaluate the effects of different restoration measures applied on alpine grasslands with different degrees of degradation, a meta analysis was performed using 2, 478 sets of data from 92 papers published on Chinese or international journals. The main findings were as follows:In un-degraded alpine grasslands, natural restoration measures can significantly improve plant productivity and plant diversity without decreasing soil quality;In mildly degraded alpine grasslands, both natural and intervening restoration significantly improve vegetation primary productivity and soil quality, but intervening restoration decreases plant diversity while the former turns out to be the opposite. Therefore, it is more suitable to restore mildly degraded alpine grasslands naturally by using enclosure;In moderately degraded grasslands, intervening restoration is more effective than natural restoration. The specific measures are more effective with short-term fertilization and short-term and medium-term reseeding for restoration;In severely degraded alpine grassland, artificial grassland is the most effective measure, but it takes a long time to restore plant diversity and soil quality.
