Variation in Plant Functional Traits of Two Typical Desert Plant Based on Common Garden Experiment

摘要: 植物叶功能性状的变异及影响因素对了解植物利用资源和适应环境具有重要意义。本研究以同质园中不同地理种源白刺(Nitraria tangutorum)和红砂(Reaumuria soongorica)为研究对象,测定叶片形态性状和化学计量指标,并对其进行单因素方差分析、相关性分析和冗余分析。结果表明:同质园中各地理种源白刺叶片肉质化程度、含水量、组织密度、氮含量、氮磷比有显著差异(P<0.05),表明白刺叶功能性状表现出的种间差异可能与遗传分化有关;白刺和红砂的比叶面积和组织密度呈极显著负相关关系(P<0.01),氮含量与氮磷比呈显著正相关关系(P<0.05),而红砂叶片碳氮比与碳磷比呈极显著正相关关系(P<0.01),表明两种植物对环境的适应策略有所差别,红砂叶片具有较高的碳同化能力;白刺叶片肉质化程度、含水量、组织密度和红砂叶片比叶面积和磷含量受海拔显著影响(P<0.05),表明海拔是影响两种植物生长的主导环境因子。

Abstract: The variation and influencing factors of plants leaf functional traits were of great significance for understanding utilization of plant resources and environment adaptation. In this study,Nitraria tangutorum and Reaumuria soongarica from different geographical provenances in the common garden were used as the research objects,the morphological traits and stoichiometric indexes of leaves were measured,and analyzed by the single factor analysis of variance,correlation analysis,and redundancy analysis. The results showed:There were significant differences in the degree of fleshiness,water content,tissue density,nitrogen content,nitrogen and phosphorus ratio of N. tangutorum leaves from different geographical provenances in the common garden (P<0.05),which suggested that the interspecific differences in leaf functional traits might be related to genetic differentiation;The specific leaf area and tissue density of N. tangutorum and R. soongarica were significantly negative correlated (P<0.01),nitrogen content and nitrogen and phosphorus ratio were significantly positive correlated (P<0.05),while the carbon and nitrogen ratio and nitrogen and phosphorus ratio of R. soongarica leaves were significantly positive correlated (P<0.01),indicating that the two plants had different adaptation strategies to the environment,and the leaves of R. soongarica had higher carbon assimilation capability;The degree of fleshiness,water content,tissue density of N. tangutorum leaves and the specific leaf area and phosphorus content of R. soongarica leaves were significantly affected by altitude (P<0.05),indicating that altitude was the dominant environmental factor affecting the growth of the two plants.
