Abstract: Dactylis glomerata L. was widely distributed and cultivated all over the world. It plays an important role in animal husbandry development and ecological environment improvement. There were abundant germplasm resources and excellent genes in the natural world, which have great potential for development and utilization. Different methods have obtained different results in the study of species origin and differentiation of Dactylis, but there was still no unified classification standard to accurately classify Dactylis. In this paper, the origin, evolutionary classification and phylogenetic analysis of Dactylis were reviewed, which provided theoretical basis for further research on the origin and classification of Dactylis, and was of great significance for guiding the collection, conservation and utilization of germplasm resources of Dactylis and carrying out related basic research.
