Abstract:

The allelopathic effects of Achnatherum inebrians roots, stems and leaves with the concentrations of 0.2, 0.1, 0.05 and 0.025 g·mL-1 on the seed germination of Bromus inermis were studied though the method of dish filter paper in the artificial climate chamber. The aqueous extracts of different parts had certain inhibitory effects on the germination rate, germination potential, germination index, radicle length, shoot length, radicle weight of Bromus inermis seed. The sensitivities of different indices to the allelopathic effects were ordered as germination potential>germination>index germination rate, and the allelopathic effects of different parts were ordered as leaves>stems>roots. The aqueous extracts of A. inebrians had significantly inhibitory effects on the seed germination of B. inermis under high concentrations, and the inhibitory effect of aqueous extracts increased with the increase of concentration.
