The Physiological Response of Desert Grassland Plant Reamuria soongorica under Drought Stress to Exogenous ABA

干旱胁迫下荒漠草地植物红砂幼苗对外源ABA的生理响应

Abstract:

A pot experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of exogenous abscisic acid (ABA) at the concentrations of 0.1,1,10 and 100 μmol·L-1 on physiological characters of Reamuria soongorica under different drought stress treatments (CK,light drought, moderate drought and severe drought).And the response in drought resistance of R. soongorica to exogenous ABA was analyzed. The results showed that,under the drought stress the accumulation of osmotic adjustment substances such as proline (Pro),soluble sugar (SS) and soluble protein (SP) in R. soongorica were increased by ABA application. The decrease of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxide enzyme (POD) and chlorophyll content (a+b) and the increase of malondiadehyde (MDA) were prevented significantly with sprayed ABA, which could enhance the drought resistance of R. soongorica. The function of ABA on enhancing the drought stress of R. soongorica would be decreased when the concentration of ABA exceeded the limited concentration of 10 μmol·L-1.The effect of ABA on drought resistance of R. soongorica was not only on some of the physiological characteristics, but on all the measured physiological characteristics. Correlation analysis showed that with the application of certain concentration of ABA,the normal physiological and metabolic functions in leaves of R. soongorica were maintained under drought stress in growth season,which could effectively control the aging process of the leaves.

以2年生红砂(Reamuria soongorica)幼苗为试材,采用盆栽试验研究了正常水分(CK)及轻度、中度和重度干旱胁迫下喷施0.1,1,10和100 μmol·L-1 4种浓度外源脱落酸(abscisic acid,ABA)对红砂幼苗生理特性的影响,分析了红砂抗旱性对外源ABA的响应。结果表明:干旱胁迫下外源ABA的喷施促进了红砂体内渗透调节物质脯氨酸、可溶性蛋白和可溶性糖的积累,能明显阻止干旱胁迫后红砂体内超氧化物歧化酶(superoxide dismutase,SOD)和过氧化物酶(peroxide enzyme,POD)活性的减弱以及叶绿素含量的降低,抑制受旱红砂叶片丙二醛(malondiadehyde,MDA)增生,从而增强红砂的抗旱性。但是外源ABA对红砂干旱胁迫下的生理调节作用有一定的浓度限制值即10 μmol·L-1,超过此浓度,作用会减小。外施ABA对红砂抗旱生理机能产生影响并不表现在对某一种生理指标上,而是多个指标的相互关联和相互影响。综合分析表明,干旱胁迫下叶面喷施一定浓度的脱落酸可以维持红砂生长季叶片正常的生理代谢功能,有效控制叶片的衰老进程。
