Conservation and Recovery of the Grassland Vegetation Along China’s Qinghai-Tibet Railway Construction Site

摘要: 阐述了青藏铁路建设过程中植被恢复与重建的重大意义。依据自然气候条件和草地类型,将沿线天然植被划分为格昆戈壁山地荒漠区、唐北高寒草原区、唐南高寒草甸区、羊拉山地灌丛区等4个不同的区段。根据各区段特征提出了相应的植被恢复与重建原则,概述了青藏铁路沿线草地植被恢复与重建的主要措施和方法:强化环保意识,明确治理职责;集中取料运料,减少植被破坏;利用原有植被,草皮表土回填;慎选植物种类,确保草地健康;采取有效技术,提高恢复效果。

Abstract: The article discusses the significance of vegetation conservation and recovery in the process of Qinghai-Tibet Railway construction.According to the meteorological conditions and grassland types of the area,four sections along the railway construction site are divided:The Golmud-Kunlun Mountainpass-Gobi mountainous desert section;the Northern Tanggula Mountains alpine stepp section;the Southern Tanggula Mountains alpine meadow section;and the Yangbajain-Lhasa montane scrub section.Vegetation conserving and recovery projects,formulated according to the different conditions of the four sections,are planned,and major measures and methods elaborated,and environmental protection is stressed in the article.Obligations of vegetation conserving and recovering along the railway site is defined.The article also suggests that the railway construction materials be transported in large bulks with fewer trips so as to damage less the environment and vegetation,that the original sod restored,right plant species selected,and efficient management administered to ensure the vegetation conservation and recovery.
