Field Cold Resistance Identification and Comprehensive Evaluation of Different Pennisetum Resources

不同狼尾草种质资源田间抗寒性鉴定与综合评价

Abstract: To screen cold-tolerant germplasm resources of Pennisetum, clarify the cold resistance differences among different germplasms, and provide a theoretical basis for cold resistance breeding, 118 Pennisetum germplasm resources were used as experimental materials in this study, and comprehensive evaluation of cold resistance was carried out via field low-temperature stress treatment combined with eight cold resistance-related indicators. The results revealed that the cold resistance-related traits of the tested germplasms possessed abundant genetic diversity, which could provide sufficient genetic basis for cold resistance breeding. Chlorophyll content was significantly correlated with regrowth seedling number and stem sugar content, serving as key factors affecting cold resistance differences among Pennisetum germplasms. Principal component analysis simplified eight indicators into four principal components with a cumulative contribution rate of 80.924%, with chlorophyll reduction value after low-temperature stress, chlorophyll content under low temperature, regrowth seedling number and stem sugar content identified as the core indicators. Based on cluster analysis, all the germplasms were classified into three groups, and a total of 30 excellent cold-resistant germplasms including Pp20230630-3, Pp20230628-5 and Pp014 were screened out using membership function method. This study provides important germplasm resources and theoretical references for cold-resistant germplasm innovation and new variety breeding of Pennisetum.

摘要: 为筛选狼尾草属(Pennisetum)抗寒种质资源,明确不同种质的抗寒性差异,为抗寒育种提供理论依据。本研究以118份狼尾草种质为材料,通过田间低温胁迫处理,对8个抗寒相关指标进行测定与综合评价。结果表明,供试种质抗寒相关性状遗传多样性丰富,可为抗寒育种提供充足的遗传基础。叶绿素含量与返青截根苗数、茎秆含糖量显著相关,是影响狼尾草抗寒差异的关键因素。主成分分析结果将8个指标归纳为4个主成分,累计贡献率达80.924%,核心指标为低温胁迫后叶绿素下降值、低温叶绿素含量、返青截根苗数、茎秆含糖量。基于聚类分析将所有种质划分为3个类群,结合隶属函数法筛选出Pp20230630-3,Pp20230628-5,Pp014等30份抗寒优异种质。本研究为狼尾草抗寒种质创新与新品种选育提供重要材料与理论依据。
